MARRIED WOMAN’S THEFT
MONEY TAKEN FROM WALLET. A married woman was charged in the Magisicutc’s Court at Wuilii with die theft of £l. The evidence showed that, the accused had picked up a wallet which a moment before she had seen fall from a man's pocket. It contained a£l not, which she extracted.’ .She look the empty wallet to (he police station. Counsel for accused said said it was a case of a woman who had not enough to provide for the necessities of her children and finding herself•ill the possession of £l. gave way to a sudden temptation. Accused was admitted to probation for six months and the supresslon of her name was ordered.
