THE STREET LIGHTS

SOME WANTONLY DESTROYED. WARNING TO VANDALS Yesterday afternoon an inspection was made of the street lights in the borough by Mr Donaldson, Engineer for , the Power Board, and it was found there were four lamps which needed replacing. It is the desire of the officers of the Board to keep the lights in going order, and they will he helped in this work if residents wifi notify the office immediately any light is found to 1)6 out of action. A regrettable thing is that in certain localities the bulbs have been used as targets, and have been wantonly destroyed. This is a serious tiling. The Power Board.offers a substantial reward for information against persons who destroy any of its property, and offenders will certainly be rigorously punished if caught.
