THE TOUR OF ENGLAND. SELECTION OF MANAGER. -1 < Per Press Association) Christchurch, November 22. Regarding the report from Dunedin of a manager of .the New Zealand cricket team to tour England, Air D. Reese, chairman of the Alanagement Committee, said to-dav that he had not been in Dunedin for several weeks, and stated emphatically that he had never expressed an opinion, or recommended any particular individual for the position. The matter was now receiving the earnest consideration of the Alanagement Committee, and he thought it would be in the best interests of the tour 'f newspapers refrained from advocating certain candidates. PRESSING FOR FINALITY. Wellington, November 22. The Alanagement Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association, tonight decided to write to the New Zealand. Cricket Club, pressing thatthe appointment of a manager for the New Zealand cricket representative team to visit England, be made immediately. The view was expressed that many more supporters would he forthcoming with a. guarantee when they Knew who the manager would he. .
