Feeling tired, Peter Harigan, 03, sought rest in the Baptist Church, at Hamilton, on Saturday night., Last night lie slept in a police cell tor a. change, and to-dav was called upon to answer a charge of being unlawfully on premises. The police stated that Harigan had gained an entrance through the back window. His excuse was'tliati lie was drunk and had been tltrtie weeks on the roads. The Magistrate: “You were one day. too early.” Accused: “I would never have ; gonc there had I not been drunk.” (Laughter). Accused was sentenced to fourteen days’ imprisonment.
