Emma. Baker was convicted and lined lOs and costs 17s (id on a charge of keeping an unregistered dog. Jas. AYhittnker, borough ranger, conducted the prosecution. William Berry, Alanawatu County Traffic Inspector .proceeded against Richard Drummond, who pleaded guilty to allowing his 12 cows to wander at- large. It was stated that AYilliams was a driver i n the employ of the Highways Transport Co., and had been warned by the traffic inspector to procure a reflector for the lorry he was driving. On the recent- date of the offence the lorry was still without a reflector, Williams stating that the company had refused to equip In’s lorry in this respect.

Both the company and AYilliams were fined 20s with costs.

Stevens (Air Power) was ordered to pay Bowden Bros. (Air Elliott) the amount owing, £3B 18s 9d, in default six weeks’ in Wanganui gaol, the writ to he suspended so long as debtor pays 30s monthly. J. Fletcher was ordered- to pay G. O. Hubner (Mr Taylor) £l9 Is Od, in default six weeks’ imprisonment, writ to be suspneded so long as debtor pays £4 monthly. C. Stevens was ordered to pay E. C. Barnett (Afr Ta-vlor) £45 18s, in default six - weetks’ imprisonment, writ to be suspended so long as debfo,. pays 30.4' monthly.
