ACCIDENT ON CROSSING
RUN DOWN BY TRAIN Press Association. Wanganui, Jan. d. Charles Hokiener, single man, was driving a horse and carl: over a railway crossing, near the Waver ley racecourse, yesterday afternoon when he was run down hv a train. He was unconscious when picked up and was conveyed by the train to Paten, where ho was admitted to the. hospital - suffering from concussion. The carl was smashed to pieces, hut the horse was uninjured Tiie crossing is a very dangerous one and has been the scene, of many serious accidents, at least one proving fatal . Holdener’s condition io-night shows little improvement.
