THE BRITISH BOWLERS.
W’e regret exceedingly that at least two rinks from, the big contingent of touring bowlers from the Homeland have not been scheduled to play on the green in Feikling. Instead, Che distinguished visitors are all to play upon an anything hut picturesque green in Palmerston. There is no hwling ground in New Zealand that presents a prettier picture than the Feikling green, which, is also playing ‘‘as true as a die.” A visit to Feikling would have been something for those fortunate enough to lie sent here to remember all their days. When comparisons were being made on their return Home,, they would have said: “Ah, but you should have seen the Feikling green!” An effort Ims been made even, as late as yesterday by the President of the Feikling Rowling Club to get a rink or two of the Britons to spend an afternoon on our green. The reply was not satisfying, but Air 'Bartholomew is not letting the chance go by default. We hope he scores a rink tv two even in (he 11 tie llour—for to-morrow is the day the contingent passes through, and they come, this wav on 1 v once.
