PALMERSTON B (3) v. EEtLDTNG A (0). !j| The Manawatu Wednesday competitions were advanced a further stage, yesterday. In their section, the Feilding team travelled and were defeated by Palmerstoti B. \ Although obviously outclassed, the Feilding team put up a good defence in the first half, but were not qualified in aggressive work-, their opponents at half time having a lead of one goal. On resuming, Palmerston scored twice, the local team failing to break through their defence after many attempts. Kendrick, Brace and V. Tucker were responsible for the scoring shots. RANOIWAHIA (2) v. KIMBOLTON A friendly game was played at Kimbolton yesterday as an introduction to the big football match. The match was fairly even, though the better team won. For Rangiwahia goals were shot by Misses Alice Boshier and Eileen Carey, and the scorer for Kimbolton was Mrs Jones. Mr Hesseltine had the wlystle.
