At the morning call yesterday a sale of Union Steam at 20s Gd was reported, and at tlie afternoon call the sales reported were A\ per cent Inscribed Stock (1038) at £9B, and Dalgety and CcT's shares at £l3 10s 6d,. Gilt-edged securities were in better demand the previous day, with buyers of the 4f per cents, at £97 17s Gd, and the -j per cents, at £9B New Zealand Brew r cries debentures were in demand at 21s 9d. } and there were sellers of Wellington Gas Company's del (.-uteres afc 21s 9(1" Bank shares were firm.
