FEILDING v. PALMERSTON. . Fine weather prevailed for the invasion of the Feilding green on Saturday afternoon by seven strong rinks from Palracrston, Terrace End, and Manawatu Clubs. It was a keen contest, and in. the aggregate Feilding was only a few down—l 43 to • 138. Following were the details: — Garrett, Atkinson, Entwisle, and Bourke,(s.), 16, v. Jones, Inglis, Fastier, Laur'enson (s.), 21. B. Gray, AV. Dewe, Davidson, and Geo.-Bartholomew (s.), 16, v. Aitken, Bodkin, Hodgins, Pickering (s.), 22. Dummer, Haybittle, Shrimpton, and Mason (s.), 19, v. Poole, Fleming, Oakley, and Hankins (s.), 28. Williamson, Lumsden, Miles, and Claphitm (s.), 24, v. Wallace, 18. Hazell, Lambert,- Williamson, and Prior (s.), 22, v. Stevenson, 24. Levett, S. Gray, Rev. Petrie, and Mills (s.), .21, v. Griggs, Simmons, Bilderbeck, Morshead (s.), 20. Moore, Goodbehere, Millen, and Jno. Bartholomew (s.), 20, v. Phillips, Spooner,, Radford, Lockie Brown (s.), 10. Mr Spooner thanked Feilding for an excellent afternoon's outing, and proverbial hospitality. (Cheers.) President John Bartholomew, in reply, said the Feilding players always enjoyed these inter-club visits. He regretted that the Pennant games, introduced by the centre, had hampered such social gatherings. "We think the Pennant system is a failure —it is no good to Feilding. We want more club visits."
