FEILDING 15 v. CHELTENHAM 0. The Feilding senior team journeyed to Cheltenham on Saturday and played a friendly game against the local senior fifteen, and, after a rn- ' ther fast game, were victorious by 15 points to nil. Cheltenham at the outset made things willing and it looked as though the town team would be hard put to it to carry off the honours, but as he game progressed they settled down to business and practically had things all their own way, and were always on the attack. Tries wore scored by L. Bramwell, Bowen; Bailey, Lawrence, and Christie. The country team were without the services of two of their best players, which no doubt accounted, to agreat extent, for their defeat. Nevertheless, the team as a whole played a sound defensive game and time and again drove off the determined attacks of their opponents. Bowen, of the visitors, received rather a nasty bump shortly after the commencement of the second spell and had to retire. . Mr Shakes proved a very capable referee. THE JUNIORS. The junior team assembled at the racecourse for practice, where a fair amount of plav was indulged in under tho tuition of "Mr J. Ryan. The election of captain and vice-captain resulted as follows: Captain, M. McConachie; vice-captain, P. Mason. All players are requested to assemble for practice at paddock adjoining Mr Carrigan's shop in Aorangi street on Tuesday and Thursday evenings ot this week.

HIGH SCHOOL v. FOURTHS. Those who 'went rip to the High School ground on Saturday saw a good ,open, fast game between the High School boys and the Feilding fourths. The yellows were not at their best, the team showing lack of condition and practice, but they played up well both in attack and defence in spite of these failings. High School boys pleased their supporters very much. They were quick and accurate in their handling and kicking, tho backs particularly showing quite an advanced knowledge of the game. School won the match by 6 points to 3. For the winners tries were scored by Bramwell and Pearse, and for the yellows by Mcintosh. Mr N. S. Tankersley had the whistle. The Rugby football season opened in Wellington on Saturday. Synopsis of results: Berhampore 9v. Poneke 4 Petone 11 v. Marist 6, Old Hoys li v Selwyn 9, Athletic 5 v. Wellington 6, Oriental 11 v.
