BANTAM WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. WON BY CANN. (Per Press Association.i Wanganui, April 30. In the bantam weight championship of New Zealand, Charles Oann defeated Bert Facoorey on points. It was a very even fight throughout. TWO AUSTRALIAN CONTESTS. (By Electric Cable—Copyright.) (Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.) Sydney, .April 30. At tho Stadium, Spargo defeated Stanley Mcßride. the American on points. Though the Australian outboxed his opponent at all points, the American liberally interpreting some rules, put lots of /Im into his work and kept Spargo lwjsy. In the first round, Mcßride poached him half through tho ropes, and in the sixth floored the winner with'a heavy right to tho ribs. At Melbourne, Jamito beat Walter Ross on points. Ross pushed the infighting, at which Jamito proved easily the superior man.
