Potatoes, £4, £4 15. Onions, £4 10s, £5. WAIKATO STOCK SALE. At Hamilton 911 Wednesday there Was a good yarding of cattle and pigs but a small entry of sheep. The quality of the beef was; mostly plain, and competition was dull. Steers mado to £6, £6 10s for .medium weight; light weights £4 12s 6d to £5 7s 6d. Fat cows from £3 to £4 10s; plain from £2 to £2 15s; stor steers, 3 yr, reached £3 12s for the best; others from £2 15s. ■ There was a good entry of heifers in calf, and competition was fair throughout. 2J-yr SlnSrthorn heifers reached £8 17s 6d, second quality fiom £7 10s; 18-month Shorthorn, good quality, to £7 15s; second quality £4 2s 6d to £4 10s. Fat pigs were in full supply, and a fair entry in stores, due no doubt to the alteration of sale day. Buyers were not so numerous as usual. Competition for baconers and porkers was- fairly keen at the commencement, but declined as the salo proceeded. Heavy baconers made to £3 15s, heavy porkers to light baconers £2 5s to £3; light to medium porkers £1 13s to £2; unfinished £1 2s to £1 12s; good slips 17s to £l, small slips 12s to 16s; best weaners 7s to 11s, others from 2s 6d. Dairy cows and heifers close to profit made to £l3 10s.

JOHNSONVILLE SALE. At tho Johnsonville fat stock sale this week, only a fair yarding of sheep came forward, and all classes of big sheep sold freely, showing a good advance on last week’s prices. Lambs were very dull of sale. Beef was offered at prices slightly lower than last week. oValers were down coinpared to last week. Best wethers 25s 6d to 28s 4d, ewes 19s Id to 19s 9(1, maiden ew-„s and wethers 27s 6d, lambs 18s, 18s fid, to 18s 9d, medium 15s to 15s Cd stores 10s, best bullocks £8 £8 2s 6d, to £8 10s, medium £6 15s, £6 17s fid, to £7, half finished £5 to £5- 10s, cows £4, £4" ss, to £4 10s, best calves 37s Cd, 38s 6d, to £2 2s, medium 30s to 355, small 30s.
