THE BOARD OF TRADE.
•«» MR LEE TO BE PRESIDENT. The Board of Trade is to be taken over by the Hon. E. P. Lee this Aveek. The Prime Minister may possibly be concerned as head of the Government in the proposals ivhicli he has already mentioned for the reconstruction of the Board, but he ivill not any longer be its president. Mr Massey, with the duties of Prime Minister, and the big portfolios of Railway and Finance, has rather more than enough to do without being concerned with regulating the cost of living. Some announcement in more detail about the reconstruction of the board may be made this week.
