WOOL COMMANDEER.
MR MASSEY EXPLAINS
Wellington, November 6. Explaining the wool question, Premier Masscy says: When I was in England, I was satisfied it was in the interests of New Zealand that the
present arrangement with regard to wool should continue for a full season after peace was declared, and I then made certain arrangements with the representatives of the .Imperial authorities, which will be adhered to. Since I have come back I have looked into the position and find that the opposition here to the scheme is comparatively small, but to get over a technicality, legislation is necessary, and I am giving notice of a bill to-day in which provision will be made. There is no occasion for any anxiety on the part of producers. r
