M. Marcel Hutin, the military authority, says that when Peace Note manoeuvres failed, the enemy concentrated large forces in the direction of the Swiss frontier. Switzerland's mobilisation of a second division aims ,at guarding against every eventuality on the part of the Germans.
["United Service Telegram._ (Received January 20, 10 a.m.) London, January W. The Swiss press stated that German concentrations are rapidly continuing near Basle. The Swiss Army Staff; fears that an invasion of Switzerland is intended.
