" If we Can Maintain Military Position we Can Win the War Under Water"
There will be a general feeling of satisfaction at the news to-day that the Yarrowdale, with .some 400 persons off ships sunk by the German raider in the South Atlantic has arrived safely in port. There are some more details of how his victims were treated by this pirate, whom we hope to see destroyed within a few days. There is not much fighting news today, but thero are highly significant items regarding the internal troubles of Germany and Turkey, and a report that the German is resting his hope of winning out on tho work of his submarines. That hope literally rests on sand. Tho Greek is still stiff-necked and subtle, and the Turk is playing a cruel game with General Tawnshend. Bonar Law has been laying it down to the men of money in Groat Britain, and even hints at the conscription of wealth.
