Wellington, August 18. The New* Zealand committee, Messrs Allan, W. Jewell, Powdrell, Pa coy and Wise, appointed to negotiate for the disposal of New Zealand cheese to the Imperial Government, mot the Premier this morning.

Tho Premier reported that the Imperial Government had declined the offer of the committee made last month to sell the whole output at 83d, but offered 8d for 800 tons at the rate of 200 tons a month during November, December, January and February.

The committee pointed out to the Premier that sales had already been made in New Zealand closely approximating 9d, whilst to-day linn offers of dd arc available from Home buyers.

Tiie committee declined the offer of the Imperial Government and factories arc thus left to dispose of their outputs as policy directs, either by sale to Home agents or on consignment.

The committee subsequently met and dissolved.—Standard.
