AN EX-FEILDINGITE.
Foilding folks will remember Mr Glanmore Jones, tho London music hall artist who sojourned awhile here. He is the tenor in the New York Comedy Four now appearing in. His Majesty's Theatre, Wellington. He is the step-father of Staff-Sergt. Frank J. Jenkins, D.C.M., who went away with- the Main Body from Auckland. Writing to his mother, under date Juno 14 (from Franco), Sergt. Jenkins says: "You will be pleased to know that I have been awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal. The colonel recommended me live times for my services at Gallipoli. I am tho second man in the Divisional Train of 100 to have it—tho_ first was 14 months ago, since when its owner has returned to New Zealand, so at present I am the only ono with such a medal. The adjutant last night congratulated me, and said that he had received a report from the General Headquarters of the Army about mo in reference to the School of Instruction at Boulogne." Ho adds that ho hopes to get a commission.
