BAPTIST ANNIVERSARY.
The Baptist Church held its.anniversary social last night, Avhen the church Avas packed to tho doors. The secretary, Mr Don. Ncilson, read the annual report, which showed that things were well both .spiritually and financially. Tho Rev. I). B. FordeCarlislo delivered an address on "The Bible being .the Word of God." The Rev. T. Miller, M.A., also delivered a very fine address, shoAving that the different denominations Avere only regiments in the same army. Solos were rendered by Messrs Gallagher and Keir. BartholomeAv and a duet by Messrs Bain and Gallagher, Avhich were much appreciated. The Palmerston Baptist choir .rendered four anthems. At the close of the meeting refreshments were provided.
