Tho Government desires to give every possible assistance to returned .■soldiers to settle upon the land, and a leaflet,, setting out tho conditions and the facilities being offered, has been circulated amongst Patriotic Societies. Money advances will bo made to give the sokficr-scttlers a start, and in addition tho Commissioners of CroAvn Lands have power Avhcrc necessary to postpone the payment of rent or lo capitalise saihc. Any soldier desirous of taking up land should obtain a provisional application form, answer the questions thereon, and forward it to the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the- land district in which he desires to settle. The Feikiing Patriotic Society Avill be pleased to advise and help any soldier in the matter.
