The Lokal Anzeigcr (Berlin) says Qeneral yon Lindenbui-g's extended command of tho eastern front has been joyfully received by the whole of the German people, enhancing their confidence in the collapse of the Russian attacks along the eastern front. [Reuters Telegram.! Copenhagen, August 4. Despatches from Vienna stale that Yon Hindenburg's appointment to the supreme command has enraged tho Austrian military authorities. Three of the Buda Pesth papers, which adversely commented on. itj were suppressed. It appears that Yon Hindenburg refused to appoint any Austrian officers to his staff, insisting that a number of Giermaai officers should ireplaco tho Austrian generals.
