COLYTON'S ARBOUR DAY.

Colyton kept Arbour Day on Monday, when the children had as good a lime as they anticipated and parents made a tour of inspection of the school interior and grounds, now well established. During the morning lessons were given appropriate to the day, and towards afternoon the committee arrived to give tho benefit of their experience in the tree planting. The event of the day was the planting of the Kitchener memorial oak by the two biggest schoolboys, when the chairman made a fitting speech and then called for the National Anthem. Later all adjourned to the schoolroom for afternoon tea, and for some much appreciated part and solo singing by the children. A very pleasant day ended with an exhibition of drill and a lollie scramble for the little people.
