LYTTON STREET SCHOOL CONCERT. Pupils of tho Lytton Street School and their friends, assisted by tho Stanway Dramatic Company, presented a good concert programme iii the Drill HjYTT last night. t A painting by Mrs Dickson, auctioned by,the Mayor, brought over £10. Mliss Aniiio McLeod was tho winner of the clock competition conducted by Mr W. H. McMcnamin. The Salvation Army's services tomorrow will !>o for prayer and intercession. A hearty welcome is extended to all, and a special song-sheet will "be used with special hymns. Adjutant and Mrs Walker conduct the services. At the Manse yesterday afternoon the niQinbers of tho P.W.M.U. held a Kitchen Tea in honour of Miss James, whose marriage takes place shortly. A very rdcasaut afternoon was spont, and" a varied collection of kitchen utensils was presented to the guest of honour. Songs wero sung by Mcsdames H. Cornfoot and Mills and Miss James, and Mrs Spenco recited. Tho following report concerning the honey crop prospects of tho Wellington district has boon received from the apiary instructor by tho Director of the Orchards, Gardens, and Apiaries Division: "Honey for export is skill' coming forward, and since the. report of last month I havo graded 172 cases in Taranaki, and 30 cases in Wellington, for shipment to the West of England per the Somerset, via Wellington. There is a great improvement in the way the honey is prepared for export over last season. Honey in any quantify for local consumption appears to bo scarce, and prices should remain firm."
