King Victor -Emmanuel telegraphed to. King George of England that the ancient traditional friendship between the Italian and English people was now strengthened by a bond of blood against a common enemy. He expressed ardent hopes for victory. King George replied cordially reciprocating, and expressing his deep gratification at England and Italy being so closely allied in a great and lioblo cause. He said ho felt complete confidence in the success of their united efforts.
