CALAMITIES AND CASUALTIES London. May 31.
The steamer Olenlee, bound front Cardiff for Aden, was torpedoed. Tho crew landed at TJshant.
A survivor from the Spennymoor says that the submarine's crew stood on the deck and laughed mockingly when the crew were thrown into tho water.
The boatful of the crew of the Ethiope, which was submarined in the Channel, were saA'ed.
The Admiralty reports that the Triumph casualties were three officers and 11 men killed and 42 missing; and the Majestic two killed and 47 missing (believed dead).
(P>eceiA r ed June 1. 9.40 a.m.) London, May 31. The verdict on the victims of the Princess Irene disaster states that, death was caused by an explosion from an unknown cause.
The High Commissioner reports that in the week ending May 20, of 1323 vessels sailing to and from British ports, one British merchant vessel, of 1968 tonnage, was sunk be a submarine.
