THE TRAMWAY STRIKE. (Received-' May 31, 8.45 a.m.) London, May 30. Tho County Council has undertaken to expedite tho settlement of the tramwaymen's grievances. They announced that .men of military age would not bo allowed to resume work, and tho strike collapsed. Two thousand of the strikers found employment elsewhere, and fcw r enlisted in the army. Twelve thousand were enrolled as motor transport drivers, and others are engaged at Woolwich employed in the armament Avorks.
