THE W.C.T.U.

Yesterday afternoon a very pleasant W.C.T.U. meeting was JieJcl at the Presbyterian Manse to bid farewell to Mrs Anstice, who .had been a prominent worker for the Union. She is leaving this district for M.oriinsville. The members expressed their regret at her departure and good wishes for her future happiness, and presented her with a writing case as a memento of their association. Mrs E. H. Cra.bbe, President of the Palmerston Union, gave a short address, and arranged for one of tho delegates to the W.C.T.U. Convention just liefd in Gisborne to give a report in May. Miss Jones presided at the piano, and afternoon tea brought a pleasant meeting to a close. ■
