; MINISTERS' ASSOCIATION. I A A T ALEDICTORY GATHERING. The monthly meeting of the Feilding and district Ministers' Association ' was held yesterday in St. Paul's Hall, Feilding. There were present: Mr Anstice' (President), Revs. Jones, 1 Murray, Mather, Budd, Daniel Frost, r Mackie, and Adjutant Dixon. \ The Rev. D. Mackie, of Bulls, was 1 elected President "for the current * year, and the Rev. T. Coatsworth as 3 Secretary. i It was moved by tlic- Rev. G. Budd, ' seconded by the Rev. P. AY. Jones, and agreed to: '-lhat the Association i expresses its regret at the departure 3 from their various districts of the i Revs. Frost, Daniel, and Ajistice-, and 3 Adjutant Dixon, and prays that 3 God's richest blessing will rest upon - the brethren in their new spheres of i labour." , These brethren then each, gave faref well addresses, speaking in very . warm terms of the pleasure and pror 'it they had experienced during their connection with the. Association. The following minute was agreed to by the Association: "We record our " deep sorrow at th c great loss the Universal Club has been called upon i to sustain in the death of our first president the Rev. C. E. Beecroft. \. To all of us who enjoyed liis friend- " ship and affection lie was a brother beloved; w e feel the inspiration of his I noble life his abandonment to his work, and his faithfulness in all the details of the pastoral office, his de- ' votion to pulpit preparation, and his „ deeply sympathetic nature. AA T e shall !, always remember his model chairaian- " ship in our Association, his wise and appropriate remarks in discussion, 1 and his illumina ingttshrdlmfwymfw 3 and his illuminating papers read from -tti e to time. AYe shall ever cherish i the recollection of his masterly com- - viand of our mother tongue, and how - splendidly he used his pen with choice - diction and apt phrase in the ad--5 -vancement of every cause for the fc betterment of the human family. fc AYe hear on every hand of cherished l_ sent by our brother to the '? troubled? a£' 1 ways'be the poorer SSt we think of his f withdrawal beyond the Veil.
