ON THE WANGANUI TRACKS.

Wanganui, Sept. 24. This is the first morning that work of any importance has been done on tho training tracks for tho Wanganui meeting opening on Thursday. The tracks aro very dead. Winning Way and Brown Owl did six furlongs, tho latter ahead, in 1.20. Bon Reve and Oxeuhopo in 1.18-J-; Aloha finished in front of Stepney and Deniso Ormo at tho end of five furlongs in 1.7 i. Hawick and St. Felix covered tho mile in 1.52. Multiply and Our King did six furlongs, the latter easily, in 1.21-i. Distinction and Vocation, the latter being fit, did steady work. Seaman beat Otahu in seven furlongs in 1.36. Ngataruimi gavo Darby Paul three lengths start and easily beat him over five furlongs in 1.6. Sandstream did long steady work. Mallard, Oakum, Lockwood, Neirene, Styx, and a number of others did half pace work. Huskyne, Bollin and Altcar arrived last night, also Prosser's team.
