GAS EXTENSIONS.

Mr G. AY. Ilealey, manager of the .. eilding Gas Company, inTorms our representative that he has received authority from the Directors of his company to go straight ahead with a considerable extension of the gas extension of the gas mains. Pic ' therefore cabling to-day to England for the mains, and expects them to be landed here in about three months. It is Mr Hcaley's intention to lay a main right along AVarwick street from South street to West street, thenco along West street to North street. Good promises of support have been received from residents along the route. it is possible that extensions will be mado along other streets later on, should the Council and the residents desiro it.
