CHRISTMAS GREETING TELEGRAMS.
The postal authorities make a request to tho public that, in order to avoid congestion of the wires on Saturday, and to ensure reasonably prompt delivery of messages, as many" ** Christmas greeting" telegrams as possible be handed in on i- ridav. The attention of the public is "drawn to the fact that the telegraph office closes at 8 o'clock on Saturday night.
