WAITUMA WEST.

SOME DISTRICT NOTES

The weather here has been very unsettled lately, heavy rain falling in all parts of the district, stopping shearing operations. Grass is in abundance in all parts of the district .and the gardens are pictures to look at. The roads arc in tip-top order, having been done up i\itb the srrader under the supervision ot Mi J light. The roads have never been done up in the same good condition before. Great credit is due to Mr flight and also Mr F. C. Peaison, thu county dri\ or, for the way in which the work has been carried out. Mr Fagan has sold his carrying business'to Mr -Knight. The .Waituna hatHs in full swing, and should prove a great benefit to the district, as it has been needed for years.
