THE BATHS.
It was stated by tho Mayor last night that, owing to tho cold weather the baiths were not bringing in any revenue, and tho Council was losing heavily on them. The matter of the appointment of a baths caretaker and lamplighter was under discussion, and it was decided, before making a permanent appointment, to wait for the report of the special commission on public lighting.
