AT THE MA-NAWATU SHOW
FUTURE SYSTEM
the Manawatu A. and P. Association's General Committee discussed again the much-agitated question of members' tickets, and the privileges pertaining thereto, yesterday, when Mr Hugh Gillies brought forward his motion: "That the ladies' tickets be issued to each member for the Dairy Show as at present,- and for tlie Spring Show two tickets similar to those issued in 1906, excepting that the ladies' tickets for the Spring Show be arranged for clipping at stands, ■and passes bo issued the same as for members." There was a lengthy discussion, during the course of which Mr W. F. Jacob said lie hoped the Society would not "make the alteration and got itself into trouble by throwing away revenue. Ho said Mr Gillies was in a peculiar position. He was knocking out the Winter Show and introducing more ladies' tickets. Mr Jacob pointed out that no other Society in New Zealand gave so many advantages. Dannevirke members paid £1 for one day; Ecilding for the" same amount only had two days. Feilding had 400 members, and it was mostly in that district that the loss of members had taken place from the A. and P. Association. Mr Jacob said he did not want to hurt anybody's feelings, hut he believed that it was tlie members themselves who were working up the agitation. The Gillies' moton was ultmately ca-rred by 15 voes to 5.
