BARMAID SHOT DEAD

BX ELEOTBIO TELEGRAPH — OOPYBIQHT. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Sydney, March 15. A barmaid named Stark, employed at tlie Cafe Italien, in Bond Street, was shot dead this afternoon. A man calling himself Walter Lovett ontered the bar and fired 6hot after shot at the woman, who fell bleeding from several- woutfds. He then turned the revolver on himself, and inflicted a minor wound. -The woman died almost immediately, exclaiming, "Look after my girl!" Lovett told the proprietor on Saturday that Stark was his wife,, Later. The woman Stark had her left eye completely blown out, two terrible wounds on her head, and two others on her body. The murderer, it is stated, was a commercial traveller, and had been drinking heavily of late.
