STRIKING OIL IN TARANAKI

PER PKEBS ASSOCIATION. New Plymouth, March 14. A blow-out, one of the biggest yet experienced here, occurred in the Taranaki Petroleum Company's No. 3 bore this morning during deep drilling operations, when pure oil was ejected to a great height. Twelve -barrels full of it was collected. Operations at Nos. I ajtid 2 bores •continue' satisfactory. The flow from the latter between the casings is continuous All energies, "however are devoted to sinking deeper.
