Kells—won the Gordon Highlanders' trophy by 7 hits to 4. beating the Australian team; and at the close of the Empire Match first stage New Zealand is leading by 21 points. Sectional Firing. 500 and 600 yards, ten shots.—Opaki Rifle Club No. 2, £5, 60 hits; Timaru Port Guards, £3. 55 hits; Karori Rifle Club B team and Bruce Rifles, £1 each, 53 hits each. -Colonial Ammunition Company's Gin. value £70.—Petono, Karori B. and Victoria Rifle Clubs tied with 15 hits each.
