THE USEFULNESS OF THE BATHS
PROVED.
At the Municipal Baths yesterday afternoon the following boys from the Distnct High School qualified for the certificate granted by the New Zealand Swimming Association: — Learners' Certificates (100 yards). —Charles Eade, Robert Shaw" Fred Hubner, Roy NeilT, Herbert Harford, .-elwyn limes-Jones, Harold Hewitt, and Russell Giesen. 220 Yards.—Ernest Thompson Lawrence Lange, and R. Bennett (300) 440 Yards.—Cliff Bell (550), Stanley ocandlyn (650), Victor Hooper, ir £ d 1J lv, . mer > Charles McDowell. —ait-rude.—Gordon Bramwell R.v Eggers, Mostyn Innes-Jones, Tvaii Miller, Jack Bennett, William' Jones. One Mile—Jack Corn-foot, Eric West. Mile and a half.-Lawrence Carr, Hugh Crabb. .-.".'■ ' qualified: Wilham Sandiiands (300 yards), Tom D.ckson (half mile), and Wallace Dickson (mile). •.f 11 Scll ° ol will be represented in the Schools' Championship at Wanganui to-morrow by Allen Eade The race is confined to boys under 14, and L s „ swim over four distances, 25yds. oOyds, voyds and 100 yds. Points'are given for Ist, 2nd and 3rd at each distance, and the winner receives a gold medal. The race is under the superintendence of the Wanganui Centre of the N.Z.A.S.'A.
