Rabbits are practically unsaleable, even at a. great reduction. Hemp is quiet and unchanged. For wool there is keen competition. Americans and Germans are good buyers. The best merinos are now ten per cent. Wgher, and fine to medium erossbreds 10 to 15 per cent. higher. The following were the average prices realised for fleece portions of the clips named : Tekoa 12£ d, Ngakonui 13 Jd, Whataroa Bd, Kaingaroa lid, Puketoi 13Jd. Catalogued •to date, 46,420 .bales, sold 45,128 bales. Waihi shares: Buyers £8 17s 6d, sellers £9. Copper, spot £59 6s 3d, at three months £60, electrolytic £60. ,Tin, sfpot £132 10s, at three months £133 17s 6d. Lead, £13 6s: 3d. Antimony, £7 15s to £8. Silver, 24 7-16 d. Dalgety's have declared a. 'dividend of 6 per cent. Board of Trade returns for April show that imports increased £2,099,---267, and exports decreased £1,746,---880, re-oxports increased £1,857,772. The imrpovemeiite in imports is duo partly to the advance of prices, especially those of wheat, and partly the larger imports of wool, cotton, and certain articles, on the eve of the Budget.
