A pastor named Heskert, while driving from Elizabethstadt to Schaesideirg, in Hungary, was attacked by eight wolves. He shot one with a revolver, and. the others fled. Heskert alighted to secure the carcase when the wolves returned, and caused tho horses to bolt with the coachman. Meanwhile TTeekert was devoured by the wolves.
