Dunedin, July 1. N At Bumside stock market to-day 140 fat cattle were yarded. There was a good sale, but nothing of very good quality was yarded. What was sold, however, was rather in advance of late rates. Best £9 to £9 15s, extra to £10 17s 6d, best heifers from £6 10s to £8, medium £4 10s to £5 10s, cows to £6 ss. Fat Sheep— 2329 yarded. Prices were much on par with last weeks rates. Freezers' buyers were operating freely. Best wethers 19s to 225, extra to 24s 9d, medium 17s to 18s 6d, light 15s to 16s, ewes 15s to 17s, extra to 22s 6d. Fat lambs— 3s7 yarded. Best medium brought 15s to 16s. Pigs— 7s yarded. Good quality sold at an advance on late rates, but inferior were rather dull. Porkers and baconers were about id per Ib i firmer. Suckers 10s to 14s slips 16s to 19s 6d, stores 23s to 30s, porkers 35s to 41s. light baconers 44s to 48s, heavy baconers 53fl to 625.
