Christohurch, July 1. At the Addington live stock market to-day there was a fair entry ot stock. There was a fairly large yarding of fat sheep, and at the opening of the sale ewes showed an improvement where guaranteed freetom lamb. The entry of fat cattle totalled dSB head, and included some extra prime and heavy-weight steers. The market started at last week's prices, but afterwards values advanced Is and 2s 6d per 1001 b. Steers made £6 to £11 17s 6d, extra £13 to £15 2s 6d, heifers £5 to £8 12s 6d, cows £4 10s— equal to 23s 6d to 26s- 1 for prime beef, 27s 6d for extra prime, 21s to 23s for medium, and 18s to 20s 6d for inferior per 1001 b. A small entry of veal calves sold at 8s to 60s.
