A. H. Atkinson and Co., Ltd., report: — Our weekly sale was well attended. An average entry of pigs of fair quality came to hand; small weaners and suckers were in very poor demand, but large stores of good quality were well competed for. The poultry pens wfere well filled, young good conditioned birds being well competed for. A large entry of produce was also well competed for. Quotations : — Pigs. — Weaners and slips, Is, Is 6d, 2s, 2s 6d, 4s 3d, 4s 6d> 5s 3d, 2s 9d ; small stores, 10s 6d, 12s 6d, 14s, 16s, 16s 9d, 18s; porkers and big stores, 28s. Poultry — Small roosters, Bd, 9d, Is; good, Is 3d, Is 6d, 2s ; hen and seven chicks, 3s 3d; ducks. Is 7d, Is 9d, Is Produce. — Potatoes, pig 5s 6d per sack, eating 10s 6d, 13s, 14s, 15s; onions, sack lines Id per lb, small parcels, Id to lid per lb; apples, lid to 2Jd per lb. Gorton and Son report: — At Feilding yesterday we had a fair yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Sheep showed a decided advance on last week's quotations, more particularly good wethers and forward ewes. We quitted the whole of our entry of sheep excepting one pen of ewes. Cattle were hard to quit and prices were on a par with last week's quotations. Sheep. — 4-tootli to 5-year ewes 8s 9d, mixed age ewes 8s 6d, a.m. ewes 8s lid, 2-tooth ltoinney ewes 14s 4d, 2, 4, and 6-tooth ewes 11s 6d, forward ewes 9s 4d, small 2-tooth ewes 6s Id, mixed lambs 6s, fat lambs 9s Bd, small 2-tooth wethers 10s 9d, 2 anil 4-tooth wethers 12s Id, 2-tooth E.L. rams £1 Is, 2-tooth Itoniney rams line 17s 6d, p.b. Lincoln ram £6, Lincoln ram lambs 16s 6d and 10s, B.L. rams 11s 6d and 15s 9d, 4-tooth rams 12s and 13s. Cattle.— Forward heifers £2 ss, £2 10s, fat heifers £3 17s 6d, yearling heifers 17s, 2J-year steers £2 18s 6d, farword bullocks £5, fat cows £4 10s, £4 16s and £5 10s, 18-months steers £2 to £2 3s, forward cows 30s to £2 Is, low conditioned store cows 10s, 18s 6d, 19s, 20s and 255, weaners 6s, young bull 31s, bulls £2 2s 6d to £2 10s. Dalgety and Co. report, on their Eketa^una sale.— The advertised number of sheep did not come forward owing to the wet weather and settlers Jiot having dipped. Still we had a Targe yarding. Bidding for good lines was fairly brisk ,but culls wexe 'hard to quit. Moro cattle were ;n than were advertised. Breeding ei%es, 4 and 5 years old, sold up to 10s 6d, cull ewes 2s 9d to 4s 6d, 2 and 4-tooth wethers to 11s lid, shorn lambs to 7s lid cull lambs 2s to 3s, fat ewes 12s 6d, '2-tootih Lincoln rams to 4£ guineas, 2-tooth Romney rams to 2 guineas, aged rams from 14s 6d to 1 guinea. Pigs: Weaners 5s to 5s 3d. Cattle: 2jyr to 3yr steers to £4, 18 months steers to £2 3s, cows in milk to £4 2s. Dogs to 20s. HAWKE'S~BAY SALE. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. report:— We held our periodical sale at Kaikora on Thursday, when we offered a fair yarding of sheep to a moderate •attendance of buyers. The sale was held in heavy rain, which militated somewhat against the appearance of ,the stock offered. We quote: 350 mixed age ewes 9s lid, 120 s.m. ewes (low condition) ss, 150 woolly lambs (fair line) 6s 9d, 50 cull lambs 2s 9d, 100 cull ewes 4s 7d.
