March-April shipments are one shilling less. For steamer parcels there is a better demand. Australian spot 37s 6d to 38s. Flour is depressed. Australian flour is quiet at £27. The butter market is dull. Danish has lowered six kroner — to 112s and 114s; Australian choicest 106s, unsalted 108s. A large proportion heated during the voyage. There is a fair inquiry for New Zealand at 110s to 112s. Some large retailers have reduced the price to Is per Ib. Copper, spot, £60 15s, three months £61 2s 6d. Tin, spot, £143 10s, three months £141 10s. Lead £14 7s 6d. Spelter £21. Iron 52s 7d. "^ Svgar — German 11s sd, first marks 13s. Bradford wool is stagnant. Quotations are nominally: Forties 9-Jd, forty-sixes lid, common sixties 23$ d, super 24id. At the London sales crossbreds suitable for the American trade are selliing well. Merinos are unchanged. Prices remain unchanged.
