SHEEP IN SOUTHLAND.
Prices for young ewes in Southland are from 20s to 225, and soundmouthed sheep from 17s 6d to 19s. The local impression is that values will rule higher in the near future. Prices for lambs rule from 12s 9d to 13s 6d, while first class rape lambs have sold up to 13s 9d. Fat lambs are selling at 14s 6d to 15s 6d, and good wethers for fattening on turnips are wanted at 15s to 16s.
