CATHOLIC CONCERT.
SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMME. The Roman Catholic concert and dance, held in the Drill Hall last night, was attended by a large and appreciative audience. The concert programme was very heartily received, especially the items by petite Miss McFarlane, Mr Tabor, and Mr L. Hanlon, the last two contributors having to respond to several encores, whilst Miss McFarlane had to repeat her Highland Fling. Miss Perry and Mrs Redwood accompanied the performers with skill and taste, and Dunn's Orchestra added in no small measure to the evening's entertainment. Following was the concert programme : — Overture, Orchestra ; song, " Down the Vale," Mr Strange; Highland Fling, Miss McFarlane (encored) ; violin solo, Gounod's " Aye Maria," Mr Hood; flute solo. Mr Wedde; comic song, "The Amateur Actors," Mr Tabor (encored) ; gavotte, Orchestra ; recitation, " Little Yacom Strass," Mr L. Hanlon (encored) ; sword dance, Miss McFarlane ; song, " Kathleen Mavourneen," Miss Corrigan; song, "Adoration," Miss Perry; song, " Grass Widower," Mr Tabor ; march, Orchestra. After tho concert, dancing was indulged in, the office of M.C. being in the capable hands of Mr A. M. Ongloy.
