Dairy cows (early calvers) brought from £C 15s to £10, aged anil backward cows £4 5s to £6 55., springing dairy heifers £3 12s 6'd to £4 7s 6d ; backward do. £2 15s to £3 10s, store cows £2 to £2 Bs, fat and forward cows £4 to £4 ss, yearling steers 30s, yearling heifers 14s Gd, weaner pigs 4s to 4s 6d, store 20, sows hi pig (late) 355, Draught mare (aged) in foal, £29, "milk cart mare (aged) £18, 2-year draught colt £20, yearling colt £12, spring cart filly (unbroken) £15, cob .tlii, .li^ht harness horses £13 5s to £17 10s, hacks £8 10s to £13. Implements, furniture, and sundries sold well. Mr Newton King reports: — Cattle: — At Stratford on Tuesday there was a good yarding and attendance, with good bidding for nearly all classes, very few lines going home. Calves made 13s to 19s (id, small and bad coloured lots 7s to 9s+ 15-months 44s 2 to 24 do. £3 11s. 3-year forward do. £465, 18 months to 2-year heifers 32s 6d to 355, 3-year springing heifers £4 2s. store cows 34s to 425, forward do. £2 10s to £3, fat do. £4 os to £4 17s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: — A fair entry of bullocks. The quality ranged from fine to medium light unfinished sorts. These made 21s 6tl. Best bullocks £8 17s fid to £9 ss, others £8 to £8 15s, light £7 10.s to £7 17s Gd. A fair entry of sheep of prime finality, heavy wothors 21s to 21s 3d. others 19s, heavy ewes 19s lid to 20s 4d, lighter 17s 3d to 18s 3d, lambs 15s.
