FLAX GRADING AND EXPORT
« [PBB PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] Invercargill, May 28. A meeting of flaxmillers and merchants was held to-day for the purpose of .' considering the new regulations relating to grading and export. The greater number of the 25 regulations were not seriously objected to, but others were considered prejudicial to the interests of the industry. A number of resolution were carried, the principal of which were to the effect that the export of condemned fibre be allowed, provided it is exported under a certificate that it had been condemned; and that the Government be recommended to appoint a chief grader. The meeting asked for a conference with the Minister and Seoretary of Agriculture. ' ■-
