IPEII PBESS ASMOCUI'i i'o.j New Plymouth, May 13. Interest in to-morrow's election has almost reached fever heat. To-night the Hon. Carroll adchessed an overflowing audience in the- Theatre Royal in favour of the Government, candidate, Mr Dockrill, appealing to the party to close their ranks to prevent a split in the vote which would let the Opposition win the seat. A vote of thanks to the Minister and Mr Dockrill was carried, the meeting concluding with alternate cheers for Mr Dockrill and Mr Malene Liberal candidates. Mr Massey, with the Opposition candidate, Mr Okey, addressed a somewhat smaller meeting in the Drill Hall, the former dealing mainly with the Land Bill. A vote of thanks was carried.
